Product Description

Details

B.tri by Opinion Ciatti has been designed by Bruno Rainaldi. One or three? B.Tri like Be Three (literally "being three") is Bruno Rainaldi's destructed armchair conceived to be ready to accommodate a single person and at the same to time, also to be used as an unconventional sitting place, sharing the space with the other participants. This armchair it is composed by three cylinders of different height connected together from one base, and it can be coated in KVADRAT fresh cotton or warm wool, but also soft leather, according to preferences. Original and versatile, thanks to its shape it can be used for relax, reading or working. Its eccentric yet simple design makes B.tri perfect for contemporary-style environments, but it can also become a touch of innovation within more traditional contexts.

Opinion Ciatti

The Ciatti family has been managing the company that bears its name from the fifties, promoting the expansion of the business that is still thriving today for three generations. Under the leadership of Flavia Ciatti, the company started to collaborate with several designers like Gianni Pareschi, De Pas D’urbino Lomazzi, Bruno Pozzi, Marco Duina, Christophe Pillet, Pino Pasquali, Lucci&Orlandini, Giancarlo Vegni, Paola Navone, J. Pensi and J. Llusca. In the middle of the eighties, the meeting between Flavia Ciatti and Bruno Rainaldi, an inquisitive and utopian experimenter of all forms of expression, led to further developments. The company presented a whole range of furniture pieces, divans and chairs, mirrors and objects designed both by Bruno Rainaldi and other Italian designers. The brand would soon become renown for important pieces like Ptolomeo, the best-selling product of the company for which Bruno Rainaldi received the “Compasso d’oro” award in 2004.

DESIGNER

Bruno Rainaldi

Bruno Rainaldi

Bruno Rainaldi formed himself in the field, starting at a very young age to work in furniture design communication. Ironically he called himself a “sidewalk designer” and his style ” rigorously chaotic”. He manages Milan’s first High-Tech store in Corso di Porta Ticinese, flanks Maddalena De Padova in the historic showroom in Corso Venezia and then Enrico Baleri, as partner of Baleri & Associati, defining communication strategies for design companies and points of sale. He founded Rare Studio – of which he is the soul and the creative director – and begins his first collaborations as artistic director/designer for several Italian design companies such as Alivar, MDF, Mussi Italy, Sintesi. Then Terzani, Slamp, Casprini, Annibale Colombo, Bilumen, David Medrano and Dilmos, up to the most recent project Opinion Ciatti. With a deep knowledge of the market, a great passion for the arts and a precious talent for transversal associations accumulated over the years, Bruno Rainaldi has finally tied his Professionalism to the world of projects. In 2002, with Marta Giardini Entratalibera, he opens a very special place in Milan where he exhibits his projests and a selection of objects. A “laboratory of forms” open to research and experimentation.
